I am very honoured to recommend Judith Milliken, Q.C. as the best legal English teacher for any English-learning lawyer who needs to improve his/her English skills, regardless of where s/he is from. Judith has the rare ability to explain complex legal situations and terms very easily to people who are not specially trained in the Common Law System. Moreover, Judith has prepared her course from the perspective of the student, making it one of the most interesting and enjoyable experiences my wife and I have ever had.

Needless to say, Judith is an excellent communicator. Her experience as Queen Counsel gives her the tools she needs to teach her students countless ways to express their legal ideas in a thoughtful and straightforward manner.

Before we started Judith's legal English course, we were not very confident about our legal English abilities. Now, due to Judith's instruction, our understanding of English legal terminology and how it is used has increased astonishingly. That made us feel more confident when writing, speaking or reading legal documents and it has opened us many doors in the Venezuelan legal community.

In addition, since Judith is a very well respected member the British Columbia legal community, we had the opportunity of holding many interviews and meetings with important members of the Canadian legal system, such as Judges and Queen Counsels from Revenue-Canada. Also, we went many times to both the British Columbia Criminal Superior Courts and the B.C. Supreme Court in order to observe how trials are held in Canada.

Those were very interesting experiences, which allowed us both to know more about the Common Law system and to use as many tools as we could to gain practical legal English communication skills.
